At Wilkeson Elementary, all students are taught STAR behavior expectations.  STAR stands for Safe Choices, Trust, Achieve and Respect.  Students who engage in STAR behavior choices are recognized in multiple ways, which include:  receiving STAR tickets, having their name entered in a drawing to eat lunch with the Principal, and having the opportunity to be a featured student during one of our bi-monthly STAR assemblies.  We also encourage students to recongize each other for displaying STAR behavior and qualities.  By collaborating with parents to help celebrate STAR behavior and by modeling STAR qualities as a staff, we demonstate the importance of thoughtful choices and continually remind students that we truly are all in this journey together.
